RO FILTER CHANGES

WE HAVE SUPPLIES FOR MOST MODELS OF ROS

Rule of thumb for RO filters: 1-3 people filters should be changed every 6-9 months; 4-6 people filters should be changed every 3-6 months. A major factor in this is the condition of the water. Membranes need to be changed every 1-2 years depending on the brand of membrane and the quality of the water.

BENEFITS OF REGULAR FILTER CHANGES:

Protects the membrane – which is the most expensive filter.
Allows the membrane to perform at the best capacity and quality.
Taste of the water. When filters need to be changed, the water can taste dry and stagnant.
Fouled membrane will have more waste water, which can increase the water bill.
Unclean ROs can be a breeding ground for bacteria if not kept clean.

Made naturally with sun, wind and time™, these solar salt crystals have a white, opaque appearance and a low insoluble content. They are also formulated to resist mushing and bridging, minimizing the accumulation of brine tank residue. Recommended for use in all side-by-side water softeners.

IRON FILTER CLEANING

REASONS TO KEEP YOU IRON FILTER CLEAN:

Clean Iron Filter will continuously protect the Softener as well as the whole house from Iron, Manganese and Hydrogen Sulfide (rotten egg smell).
Chemical Iron Filters: require Potassium Permanganate – available at our shop.
Patterson Iron Filters: require continuous service to keep air intake clear and keep the unit operational.
Most Iron Filters on the market need regular maintenance at least every 5 years.

PRESSURE TANK CLEANING:

Visual inspection should be done by the homeowner annually for signs of rust.

Preventative maintenance is key

Tanks should be replaced at least every 10 years to protect the home from flooding

WELL CHLORINATION:

We are able to chlorinate your well with 79% proof making the process only take 1 hour, normally takes 8-24 hours.

We provide basic water tests for TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), Hardness, Iron, pH all free of charge in our shop. For more in-depth metal and bacteria tests, we provide bottles in our shop and courier to ALS Labs
